Cookie compliance service for Typo3 sites

EU e-Privacy legislation now requires that site visitors are given much more information about how web site owners use cookies on their sites. The legislation also introduces the idea of "informed consent" — essentially if you continue to use the site then you are consenting to the site's use of cookies. It's a watered-down version of the original plan which was going to force web sites to seek specific permission before any cookies could be issued. That would undoubtedly have been a headache for web site owners. But it did recognise the the creeping sharing of browsing data amongst cooperating web sites.

However, to satisfy the new requirements, web sites still need to introduce a clear notification of the site's cookie policy and then detail the cookies in a prominently-displayed privacy policy.

For web site owners we have introduced a cookie compliance service for Typo3 web sites that combines integration of a cookie alert (which must be acknowledged to stop it appearing on every page), with a review and analysis of cookies actually used on the site.

More information on the EU cookie requirements can be found here... but for a useful overview see this recent BBC news story.

The team at Accentika Internet are sadly lacking in both physical and spiritual balance (some more than others)! So we hope a little of the inner wellness is going to rub off on us from one of our newest CMS website design clients Claire Hayhurst at Balance. Not sure we are ready to throw ourselves off hospital buildings as Claire does in here role as a stuntwoman. Go easy on us Claire.

CMS web site allows accountants to upload own testimonials

NRS Accountants, Worcester, is one of the UK's most highly recommended licensed trade accountancy specialists - it is now a preferred supplier to both Punch Taverns and Enterprise Inns.

A valuable part of the NRS's marketing programme is its CMS web site which NRS constantly updates. As Neil Sysum - Senior Partner - says:  "We are proud of our numerous client testimonials and you can find them dotted all around our website, this coupled with our feedback surveys are what we believe our existing and prospective clients would really like to know about our firm and our team."

The CMS web site, built and supported by Accentika Internet, allows NRS to make changes to any element of the web site instantly. Testimonials, news, new services etc can all be posted directly by NRS without need of any html expertise or input by a web designer.

Accentika Internet also host and support NRS's email
