Open Source Ecommerce Integration with eBay gets Enterprise Integrity

Enterprise version of open source ecommerce platform now integrated with eBay's Enterprise platform to suit mid-range retailers

Ebay has annouced that it has launched an enterprise-strength integration of its Ebay Enterprise platform with the the Enterprise version of Magento, the powerful open source ecommerce platform.

Magento is an attractive ecommerce solution for small retailers because of its open source basis. But larger businesses are attracted to the Enterprise version of Magento because of its enhancements for medium size retailers and its PCI compliance.

It has previously been possible for developers to integrate a Magento store with an Ebay account to enable products to be managed by Magento while also being available for sale on Ebay.

But Ebay, which now owns Magento, has announced creation of a single integrated

Magento Enterprise Edition, pre-integrated with eBay Enterprise’s modular omnichannel solution suite offering distributed order management, omnichannel inventory visibility, store-based fulfillment and dropship management.
